Kaakie and Mzvee over the years are known for the rivalry between them for the Dancehall Queen title.
Mzvee on many counts have denied the tension between herself and Kaakie which she did again on The Late Nite Celebrity Show with Foster Romanus.
This time the Afropop / Dance Hall artist fingered the media as the source of all those stories.
She explained “ We have always been cool we went to the same school together “St Martins De Porres”, we finished and she came to St Mary’s once when I was there I think. We have always been cool.”
“I think it is just the media that is trying to incite us against each other” She concluded her answer to Fosters question “Since when you and Kaakie been cool” as a follow up to how her relationship with Kaakie is?
In reference to Mzvee’s “Make I Shine” featuring EL which fans saw it as a response to Kaakie’s “Time Up”. The “Come and See my Moda” songstress explained that they had recorded that track and had plans of releasing it that time.
“The funny thing is that my Team and I released that if we release this song people will say we did it because of Kaakie, at end of the day we recorded it a long time ago and we couldn’t just throw it out we had already shot a video for the song.”
“Releasing it at that time had already been planned for a long time ago the song just fell into the mix that was what happened” she added.
So once again we are not sure if these two great Ghanaian female artists are in good terms or there is a hot under the carpet tension between them.
