Ghanaian recording artiste, AK Songstress, has confessed that she does feel a little lonely in the music industry.
Speaking to Foster Romanus on the Late Nite Celebrity Show, she shared that she feels a bit lonely as there are barely anymore females doing dance-hall but she believes that she is good enough to move it forward as far as reggae-dancehall, specifically female dance-hall is concerned.
She said, ‘’All that happened in the past was good, even the beef with Kaakie and all that, it all makes it interesting’’. AK divulged that the whole beef was just lyrical play and she does not think Kaakie had anything personal against her, neither did she have anything personal against Kaakie. It was all just to make the game interesting and to her it worked because that was an interesting time in female dance-hall.
The dance-hall enthusiast urged that Ghanaians support AK Songstress to help raise the banner high because dance-hall is an international genre and so far, the male artistes are doing a good job so if we can push for female artistes to be recognized in other countries as well, it will be a very good thing for the Ghanaian music industry.
