Not long after retaining his seat at the just ended NPP primaries, incumbent Member of Parliament for the Tema West constituency, Carlos Ahenkorah, has sounded a strong warning to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to look out for him come December 2020.
While sharing his victory message with his supporters, he threatened the NDC to look out for him in the coming December elections, because he will ensure that latest by December 8th, results will be out and he will be coming with a strong win gap of 20,000 votes.
“Last time, I contested for this seat and I was able to bring a difference of almost 15,000 when I took over in 2016. If you’re recording me today, I want to send a clear message to the NDC out there that this year 2020, we’re going with a 20,000 difference”, he warned.
Carlos Kingsley Ahenkorah, the incumbent Member of Parliament for Tema West constituency and the Deputy Minister for Trade and Industry, retained his seat in the NPP Primaries with a total of 593votes.
The battle, however, is not yet over as he will wrestle it out with Dr Raphael Kwesi Sarpong Tuffour, the NDC’s candidate for the constituency. Voting ended at 1:00pm and counting of votes is still in progress across the country.
