President Nana Addo has endorsed Africa’s most decorated rapper, Sarkodie new single ‘Happy Day’.
Critics have tagged ‘Happy Day’ as a political and campaign song for the current sitting Government – NPP. Sarkodie was heard praising President Nana Akuffo-Addo for initiating the Free SHS policy and also providing stable electricity. Well, we can’t really concur to this affirmation until both parties involved do so.
In his latest song titled Happy Day, Sarkodie has endorsed Akufo-Addo for a second term as President of Ghana. The song which features VGMA 2020 Artiste of the Year Kuami Eugene was released on Monday, November 2, 2020.
While the Happy Day song can be generally described as a track to praise God, the versatile rapper was able to infuse political messages in it as he endorsed Akufo-Addo. Read more:
He then proceeded to urge Akufo-Addo to continue to govern saying ‘Nana Toaso’ which literally translates as ‘continue, Nana.’
At the end of the song, Sarkodie cleverly chips in the battle is still the Lord’s which has been a longtime slogan for AKufo-Addo and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) since he first contested the presidency in 2008.
