Father of Late Dancehall artiste Ebony Reigns known now as, Starboy Kwarteng, has noted that while celebrating her 5th anniversary he had an experience with his late daughter.
He explained that just like they do every year, the family together with some friends went to her tomb to visit her and perform some tradition.
In an interview with Akua Sika on the Happy Evening Drive, he said, “I needed to have an encounter with her royal majesty and I must say that I did. Today being the 5th year of her death, I don’t know but felt something that has not happened to me after her death. To be very honest I had a one on one encounter with her, I had a conversation with her and she was all over me. I just couldn’t stop her.”
He disclosed that ever since her death, he has been very strong, but he felt something different on the anniversary of Ebony’s death.
“I don’t know why but Nana Hemaa and I were just so close, and today at the cemetery she was all over me and I couldn’t help it. I wish you could have that eye to see my relationship with her. It was so splendid and amazing,” he added.
Starboy emphasized that although he doesn’t know what people will say especially knowing Ghanaians, our systems and how we respond to such situations, he believes that anyone who knows it feels it.
Talking about his experience and what he and the late dancehall songstress spoke about, he emphasized that it is very personal and will want it to remain so.
