Ghanaian singer/ songwriter and public speaker Kobby Prairie has categorized the music he does as inspirational.
According to the soulful musician, his music seeks to inspire and motivate anyone who listens to it.
Talking to Foster Romanus on e.TV Ghana’s Late Nite Celebrity Show he said, “Now more than ever, everyone needs my music because all over the world we know where we stand. Waking up each morning to hear the number of people dying due to COVID-19. You would want to place my music under that of inspiration”.
He admitted that it is due to this reason that he also calls himself “the Soul therapist” because his music always calms and soothes the soul of anyone going through hard times whenever they hear his songs.
“My music creates a warm atmosphere for every listener. So if you’re having a tough time, you definitely will want that place that will give you that solemn moment and you definitely will want to spend a moment on a Prairie to cool down”, he shared.
For most musicians, their sole aim of doing music will probably be for the fun of it, for the financial gains or for fame.
But for Kobby, his sole aim of doing music is to “inspire listeners, help them stay calm and relax whenever they hear my songs play. And I believe that the money will definitely come from the people who understand and appreciate the music when they are able to relate to it”.
