Former Ghana International, Yaw Preko has disclosed that he is a fan of the greatest two traditional clubs in Ghana.
In an exclusive interview on e.tvghana’s Sports show, ‘The Conversation’, the former Ghana winger, Yaw Preko,
identified himself as a fan of Asante Kotoko by “Blood” and a Hearts of Oak fan by “Heart”.
“Everyone in my family supports Asante Kotoko, I grew up in an Asante Kotoko household. Formerly when Hearts of Oak beat Kotoko, I starve myself because the feeling was hurtful,” he told Ohene Bampoe Brenya.
Yaw Preko, a former player of Accra Hearts of Oak also played for Anderlecht, Fenerbahce, Gaziantepspor, Halmstads and Al Ettifaq FC.
He won over 65 caps for Ghana during an International career that spanned 15 years and was a member of the promising U-16 team that represented Ghana in Scotland’s 1989 FIFA World Cup.
Preko, who was a former coach of the Under-20 national team, also coached Premier League teams like Medeama SC, Great Olympics and Inter Allies.
