Upcoming Ghanaian musician, Kakidy has revealed that his pursuit of music is all because he does not want to disappoint God.
The musician who has been doing music for (10) years now regardless of the challenges faced says he will not quit. “I don’t want my God given talent to go waste and I don’t want to be questioned by God when I get to heaven”, he stated.
In an interview with Doctar Cann on Happy 98.9 FM’s Ayekoo After Drive Show, he said, “I first started out as a Reggae artiste but my parents were strong Christians and thus, didn’t support the idea”.
The upcoming artiste had to switch and focus on gospel music to convince his parents to accept him as an artiste. After they did he faced challenges promoting his music because, his church members whom he thought would help him unfortunately did not do so.
Talking about where he gets his inspiration from he said, “My inspiration has always been from God so, I decided to promote my music myself if no one was willing to. My talent is God given and I don’t want God to ask me someday so everyone should do his own thing while I do mine” he added.
The upcoming musician believes that with time, hard work and dedication he will be able to make it to where he deserves in the Ghanaian music industry.
