Ghanaian musical artist and Unsung category winner for VGMA 2019, Kula, has dismissed claims that he is following Ayigbe Edem, saying that Edem is only his mentor.
This clarification came following claims and rumors that Kula is what people call a “Follow Pa”, which means follow partner, to Edem.
In an interview with Foster Romanus on the Late Nite Celebrity Show, on eTV Ghana, he stated that in venturing into a new field, everyone needs someone to teach and guide them, and Edem is that person to him.
“Edem has taught me a lot. Edem has not signed me on but he took me on his tour. I just called him that big bro, I hear you’re going on tour and I want to join you and he took me along. He also advises me”, Kula revealed.
According to him, Ayigbe Edem has even, on some occasions, helped him financially so to him, such a person is a big brother and someone he looks up to.

Edem, to Kula, is someone who is showing him things in the music industry, so that he does not make the same mistakes he(Edem) made.
“If you’re following someone and the person is teaching you stuff like this, it doesn’t mean you’re just a follow partner. I don’t go everywhere Edem goes”, the musician concluded.
