Ghanaian actress, Belinda Dzattah, has articulated the need for lots of cinema in all the regions.
In an interview with host of eTVGhana’s Late Nite Celebrity Show, the actress opined that the industry needs the establishment of many cinemas in all the regions.
When she was asked what she will want to be fixed in the creative art industry if she had the opportunity to meet the minister, she said, “We need Cinemas in all regions. This is because imagine somebody living in Nungua and they are having a movie premiere at the Silverbird Cinema. The traffic on Fridays alone is crazy”.
She further added “These days there are no DVDs, therefore if we have cinemas in all regions, producers will still get money in situations where movies are premiered on the same day throughout the regions, and this would promote more shooting of movies thereby creating jobs for actors and actresses who will be paid well.”
Belinda Dzattah started acting in 2010 but took the profession serious in 2012 and has since featured in over 20 movies. They include, Chelsea, If You Were Mine, Why Should I Get Married, In April, Royal Diadem, Black and White, Prince Bride and 5 Brides.
