The Member of Parliament for the Adaklu Constituency in the Volta Region, Kwame Agbodza has welcomed the constant questioning on how the National Democratic Congress (NDC) will fund its promises especially the 10 billion big push for infrastructural development.
According to him, the constant questioning from the media and Ghanaians is a sign that Ghanaians expect the NDC to be honest unlike its counterpart the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Speaking to Happy FM’s Samuel Eshun on the Happy Morning Show, he said: “Ghanaians demand better scrutiny of the NDC because you expect us to be more honest than the NPP and we appreciate that”.
He added, however, that it was not same for the NPP in 2016 when they promised Free SHS without disclosing how they were going to fund this project.
“Journalists should have done this more to the NPP in 2016 when they promised the free SHS”, he added.
The MP revealed how the NDC was going to fund the 10 billion big push by stating “The 10 billion push is going to come from a series of sources such as the reduction in ministers; saving us a lot of money and the fund for infrastructure, among others”.
He furthered that Ghanaians can trust the NDC as the party has a track record of promoting infrastructural development.
Former President John Dramani Mahama, flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has announced a $10 billion accelerated infrastructural plan, dubbed the Big Push, which he says will inject money into infrastructural development while driving jobs and entrepreneurial agenda.
