The mortal remains of Ghanaian highlife musician, Anokye Supremo, aka, Daddy Lumba Jr has finally arrived in Ghana.
The former backing vocalist of Daddy Lumba died in India on January 30, 2019, where he underwent surgery for the removal of a tumour from his brain which affected his eyesight.
His family was asked to pay USD 21,000 (GHC 107,000) for his mortal remains, causing the delay in conveying his body to Ghana.
And after getting donor support, his body has arrived in Ghana for his funeral and burial service.
Anokye passed away after battling for his life at in an Indian hospital after undergoing surgery to remove a brain tumour.
Anokye Supremo is known for his songs “Befa Me”, “Efri Nea Efire” and “Hye Wo Ho Den”, “Krom Aye De”, among others.
