Rising Ghanaian dancehall artiste, Queen Haizel has opined that before all Ghanaian female artistes, both top acts and upcoming can unite and become friends, the upcoming ones must thrive on their own till they have had their breakthrough.
Asked by host, Foster Romanus on the Late Nite Celebrity Show on eTV Ghana if all Ghanaian female musicians can unite as friends, she gave this reply;
“For the ladies, it will be very difficult. Unless you breakthrough. If you don’t breakthrough, you won’t be friends with top acts and that’s the truth. If everyone makes it, that’s the only way you’ll see all of them together”.
She stated that most of the time, when these popular female artistes are being friendly with the upcoming acts, it’s all fake and nothing but a mere act of hypocrisy. The musician shared that she was once snubbed by one popular female musician during the days when she first started music.
Queen Haizel refused to go into details and make known who this popular female musician is because according to her, she is already over the issue. However, she expressed great disappointment in the person’s response and mentioned that she would never treat any upcoming female artiste the way she was treated.
“When I get to people who want to come close to me, I don’t act like the name that comes with my brand. I have to be friendly because you never know tomorrow”, the artiste further added.
