Upcoming Ghanaian musician, Kojo Kentey has postulated that the challenge most upcoming talents face is the inaccessibility to equipment to explore their talent.
Interviewed on e.TV Ghana’s Late Nite Celebrity Show, he voiced out that most of them are still unpopular not because they are not good at what they do or because there are no equipment but because they do not have access to the equipment. Also, there are not enough platforms to showcase their talent.
‘’Most of us passed through the church domain to get a little recognition and to get access to the equipment we need to actualize the passion. Someone might want to be a footballer but might be unable to buy boots. Someone might want to play the guitar but might not be able to buy it so you notice that the passion is there but we do not have access to the equipment we need to explore’’, he stated.
He added that he knows a lot of live bands and music groups that are very good but are not getting the right platform so he pleaded that the people in authority create more platforms like music festivals and concerts for bands so as to help them showcase and promote their talent, and also put up certain initiatives to ensure that they receive some amount of money whenever their songs are played.
