Veteran highlife musician and reigning President of the Musicians Union of Ghana, Bessa Simons has revealed plans of the union to visit the family of their just passed highlife brother, Kofi B.
Speaking in the Ghanaian local language in an exclusive interview with Happy FM’s Mercy Bee, he suggested, ‘’With the unanticipated hit of this sad news, the Kumasi branch of MUSIGA is yet to lay down everything they are supposed to lay down for us here in Accra to be able to visit the family, and find out how the customs demand that we support them’’.

According to the President, whichever musician that dies is a royal of MUSIGA, hence, this situation concerns Ghanaian musicians. However, he added that with MUSIGA, processes to go through before going into the technicalities of the matter are different but promised that they will go to Kumasi to visit the family.
Bessa Simons extended his condolences to the wife, children and entire family of the late Kofi B and prayed that God protect them, and keep the soul of their beloved in a peaceful rest.
Kofi Boakye-Yiadom, who was popularly known in highlife music circles as Kofi B, was reported dead on February 2, 2020 when he was rushed to a hospital in the Central Region for suffering high blood pressure.
