Ghanaian actor, media practitioner and television anchor, Mr John Osei Tutu Agyeman, also known as JOT Agyeman has asserted that he is not ready to get off the screens.
Interviewed on the Late Nite Celebrity Show, he told host, Foster Romanus that he is not ready to hang his tools because for him, the apex of every media practitioner is to know that they have been able to train as many people who can carry the torch. He added that he is still into media training and he loves to teach so one day, hopefully, when he ages 70 or 75, then he will decide that it is time to rest.
He revealed that he has been in the media for 25 years now but he does not fancy that he should host a celebration every year to mark his milestones but would rather say a prayer of gratitude and keep on with it, and thus, does not think he should be celebrated when he finally leaves the screens.
Replying to whether he will have a special ceremony to announce when he is finally going off the television screens, he said,’’I think that when I get to that point and I know that I want to give it up, I will know. It will probably be just one line on my twitter or facebook page to say enough is enough or the time is now. That will be it for me and my face will be lost from television forever’’.
JOT Agyeman was the General Manager for eTV Ghana between the period of 2010 to 2016.
