Ghanaian gospel singer, Betty Nhyira Boateng, popularly known as Nhyira Betty has shared her opinion that the gospel music industry is moving forward.
She said to Foster Romanus on the Late Nite Celebrity Show that back then, when a gospel musician organizes an event or calls for sponsors for a show, it was very difficult getting people to attend or invest but now things have changed.
‘’People weren’t paying attention to us but now when you look at the likes of Diana Hamilton, Joe Mettle and Ohemaa Mercy, they are able to host shows and there is massive attendance’’, she said.
She also shared her experience at the launch of her first-ever programme last year at Asamankese. According to her, the turn up was amazing and it’s an event she is thinking of organizing every year.
Nhyira Betty concluded that gospel music is not dead but is really moving forward. ‘’If you stay in your lane and trust God, follow the trend and stay dynamic, you will have your share of recognition in the gospel music industry’’.
