As it is the Black Maiden upon their return from the Under 17 WomenWorld cup tournament have not been paid their bonuses and are on the verge of storming the Ministry of Youth and Sports to collect their money.
In a discussion on Behind the Headlines a segment on e.TV’s Breakfast TV Show, James Kwabena Bomfeh Jnr said “any government who say it does not have money to do something is unwilling to do it”. He added “nothing is beyond any government”.
Explaining his point he said “I know that a fee is paid to the country for participating in tournament of this nature and even when the country is able to get to same level in the tournament an amount is paid”.
He went on “if the government is saying that they don’t have money then, where is the money we got for participating in the world Cup or they want to say it is taken a long process to get it. Even if it is taken a long process can’t government find money and pay them and later reimburse where the money was taken from?”
He concluded by emphasizing on the phrase “any government who say it does not have money to do something is unwilling to do it”
