As Ghanaians head to the polls today, it is expected that over 17 million people will cast their votes today.
The number has increased since the last four years as those who registered to vote in this elections are 2 million more than those who were registered in 2016.
The election which will take place in some thirty-three thousand polling stations will see Ghanaians vote between twelve candidates contesting for the presidential slot while and also for many others contesting for the parliamentary slot across the 275 constituencies to steer the affairs of the country.
Meanwhile, the contest is largely between the incumbent President Nana Akufo-Addo and Former President John Dramani Mahama.
The EC has declared its readiness for the general election today. Meanwhile, the EC says it will declare the results 24 hours after the election is conducted.
