Becca has said that the music industry in Ghana is dying because of the actions and inactions of both the Ghanaian media and artistes.
She made this disclosure in an interview with DJ Advicer on the Ayekoo After Drive Show aired on Happy FM.
“Ghanaian radio stations play Nigerian music all the time and that is killing Ghanaian music. Also, as artistes we do not pay attention to distribution, marketing and promotion”, she said.
She, however, took to the opportunity to advise both media houses and artistes on how to overcome these cankers that destroy the Ghanaian music industry.
“For me, it doesn’t matter what kind of music you play. There has to be a balance. Lagos plays a lot more Nigerian music than they play for Ghana. And for the artistes, it is just not about radio and TV. Take advantage of online platforms. Don’t wait for just shows”, she added.
Becca is currently promoting her “Yes I Do” track which features multiple award-winning musician, Tiwa Savage.
