Supporters of the New Patritotic Party (NPP) in the Bantama Constituency in the Ashanti Region have taken to the streets to celebrate ahead of the official results declaration by the Electoral Commission.
The Electoral Commission announced its intention to announce the results within 24-hours after the election. However, the EC Chair, Jean Mensa, has said that the Commission encountered some challenges and as such results will be announced today.
Meanwhile projections made by the media houses so far indicates that the New Patriotic Party’s candidate,President Nana Akufo-Addo is in the lead. This may explain why supporters have already started celebrating.
