Legendary Reggae artiste, Ras Caleb Appiah-Levi has disclosed that he placed an injunction on the Musicians Union Association of Ghana (MUSIGA) elections because certain provisions of the Union’s constitution were deliberately breached.
In an interview with Foster Romanus on the Late Nite Celebrity Show, he stated: “the election day was 26th of June, which is my birthday and I was even telling my friends that I was going to win to celebrate my birthday. I was also 62 that day. Before the 26th of June, I was privy to certain information and then I alerted the authorities in the union that this is what is going on and that they have to postpone the elections because I had evidence”
According to him, the voters’ list that was presented to members and aspirants of MUSIGA was not in the right order for the voting procedure.” The list had only names when the list should have had regions, the pictures, card numbers and the names of the voters so that it is easy to identity”, he added.
Ras Caleb, last year, placed an injunction on the national elections of MUSIGA which was scheduled to take place on 10th July, 2019.
