The greatest tragedy befalls the Zwane’s. Rhythm City weekdays at 7PM.
Mzi feels bad about beating up Shadrack and he gets further ideas for getting info out of him from Suffocate. He sees David and hints that he might have a weapon against David in the form of Shadrack.
Mapula suggests to Dumi that he run away. Dumi tries to reach out to a higher power – and prays with Blossom but tragedy strikes and the 68s burn down the shack – not knowing that Dineo is playing inside.
David worries what kind of evidence Mzi might have that could take him down while Mzi works really hard to get Shadrack to roll on David. He ends up pushing a little too hard with unforeseen consequences.
Dumi has to watch his siblings go through the horror of losing a loved one and the anxiety of not knowing why. He cracks and reveals his role in Dineo’s death.
Mzi tries to resuscitate Shadrack – but fails. Patrick then tries to keep him in the office for the day – but he leaves in order to try and get rid of Shadrack’s body and while at it he is caught red handed by David.
Dumi tells the Khuses he’s responsible for Dineo’s death. They try to comfort him but he won’t be comforted – and then Mapula susprises everyone by attacking him. Dumi gets suicidal and Sabelo pleads with Mapula to forgive him.
In the preparations for Dineo’s funeral, the family is shattered, and Mapula can’t bring herself to be of comfort to Dumi. She goes to help prepare Dineo’s body for the funeral and is even more deeply traumatised.
Mzi has to struggle with himself and his desire to kill David. David tells him the full story of his involvement that night, leading to a deepening of the mystery. Mzi is left with a terrible problem that he hasn’t anticipated.
The community gathers for Dineo’s night vigil. David battles to place the smell he remembers from Bongi’s death.
The community sings and mourns Dineo when Chicken and the gang arrive. David bumps Lerato and realizes that she is somehow connected to Bongi’s death.
David interrogates Lerato and finally gets the truth about Bongi’s death.
