Award winning Ghanaian Highlife and Afrobeats singer Kuami Eugene, would have probably made history with an album with the most songs.
According to him, his new album, Son of Africa was initially presented to his label, Lynx entertainment with 44 songs but he was advised against it.
“Richie refused to put all of the songs onto one album because he wanted us to keep some for other albums. That is why we used only 14 songs out of the 44.
He told me he can’t look on for us to waste the 44 songs on one album,” he told DJ Advicer, host of the Ayekoo After Drive show hosted on Happy 98.9FM.The Rockstar, disclosing how he was able to write so many songs noted that before he joined Lynx entertainment, he already had most of his songs on pendrives. “Even with most of the features I do, I already have a couple of choruses written down which I choose from”.
“I keep working hard regardless of where I have been raised to by the grace of God. And because I want my mother to enjoy”.
‘Son of Africa’ he says, is basically to make a statement that will make him relatable on the continent.
He finally added that he has reached his current height through hardwork and adequate preparation towards every opportunity that came his way.
