Ghana’s most successful commercial artist of all time, Sarkodie got social media stirred up when he announced his upcoming album. The album which is the 6th of his career features top international acts like Wande Coal, Stonebwoy, Rudebwoy, Idris Elba and many others.
In an interview on Hitz Fm, about the message behind the album after the premiere of the “Lucky” single, Sarkodie said “Black Love” is a project to create awareness and activism for black people to love themselves whether it’s our colour, culture, food, and anything beautiful about the black man.
Talking about the artwork for Lucky which has received some backlash and criticism for it being too explicit, Sark said he sought to project the indigenous African look and the pose. And the expression in there was to show how Lucky both of them were to have each other hence such an artwork.
Asked if all the artists seen in the snippet he posted on his social media are on the ‘Black Love’ Album, and if he featured any American artiste he said…
“We are working. You know I am super random. The tracklist to the #BlackLove is not out yet. We have about 11 to 12 tracks. We have about 4 or 5 more to go”.
But until then, Lucky is out for streaming and download on all digital stores.
