Experience football administrator and founder of Kumasi based King Faisal FC, Alhaji Karim Grusah, has said that the technical director for the GFA, Coach Oti Akenteng, has reached his limit in terms of performing his duties as the technical director.
The recent failure of the junior national teams and the Black Queens in competitions has raised concerns about the technical abilities of local coaches who handle these teams.
The most recent failure being the abysmal performance of the Black Satellites at the ongoing African Youth Championship in Niger.
Reacting to the performance of the team on Happy FM’s ‘Wamputu Sports Show’, Alhaji Abdul Karim Grusah asserted that technical director for the GFA, Mr Oti Akenteng, has reached his limit with regards to his performance as the technical director and lacks the boldness and courage needed to play such a role.
“Oti Akenteng is my very good friend but I think he has reached his limit in terms of knowledge. He is not bold enough. He does not attend the training session of the teams and as technical director, he has to,” he said.
Alhaji Abdul Karim Grusah and four others have expressed their willingness to contest the race to be the next GFA president.
The Normalization Committee is expected to organize fresh elections for the GFA before the end of their six months mandate.
