Ghanaian Gospel Musician Kofi Owusu Dua Anto popularly known as KODA has disclosed that his song titled ‘Nsem Pii’ got him into trouble with some pastors.
According to him, some men of God were unhappy with the lyrics of the song.
In an interview with Y97.9’s Chelsy Sey, on the ‘Ryse N Shyne’ show, he shared an instance of his experience with a man of God who was not so happy with the song.
“Nsem Pii got me into trouble. I know a few men of God who still don’t like the song and that’s fine. I met one man of God at a programme somewhere outside the country and he kept staring at me. I had to lead worship that day so after the worship and the event was over, he walked up to me and said, ‘You are not such a bad boy after all. So why do you do that?’ And I told him, it is all part of the package”, he said.
He noted that the music he does is not targeted at Christians only. “My message is targeted at everybody. Music can get so routine. You want to spend time as a musician and pray and ask God for the message and God will add His blessings”.
KODA is known for many of his gospel songs which includes the popular ‘Nsem Pii’ song. Part of the ‘Nsem Pii’ song says “Things are not the same anymore. Kristo som ay3 nsem pii. Fifteen ways to be successful, thirteen ways to make much money. But the one way to make it to heaven, preacher man, you don’t preach about it”.
