The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Youth Authority, Mr. Sylvester Tetteh, has just been declared winner for the Ngleshie Amanfro parliamentary seat in the just-ended 2020 general elections.
After a tough contest with NDC’s Alexander Ackuaku, the Electoral Commission has confirmed results from the Christian Methodist Collation Centre which indicates that Sly polled 42,806 votes leaving his competitor with 37,502 votes out of a total of 80,308 valid votes cast.
Sylvester, excited about his win, had this to say, “We started jubilating yesterday because we were confident that we would perform well and we have not been disappointed.”
Alexander Ackuaku on the other hand, has not conceded defeat but rather, is threatening to file a legal suit against his opponent regarding the results. All that Sylvester had to say on this was that Alexander is only doing that because he knows he has lost but refuses to believe it.
