A Moroccan woman is facing charges of murder after she allegedly killed her lover and served his remains to workers in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Prosecutors say the accused committed the crime about three months ago but it was only discovered recently.
Suspicions were raised after a human tooth was found inside her blender, the prosecutors said.
According to them, the said lady killed her lover and used his remains to prepare a meal which she served to Pakistani workers in the UEA.
Meanwhile, the state-owned newspaper The National reports that she described her actions as a moment of “insanity” while confessing to the Police.
The accused has already been arraigned before court and is now awaiting trial.
The National claims the lady killed her lover after he told her he was leaving her to marry another woman.
The pair had been dating for seven years, the report added, with the lady currently in her 30s.
Although the Police could not determine exactly how the man was killed, they said his girlfriend had served up his remains as part of a traditional rice and meat dish to some Pakistani nationals working nearby.
In incident is reported to have happened in the city of Al Ain, in the UAE.
The victim’s brother reported the case to the Police after he found a human tooth inside a blender at the home of the deceased.
Upon carrying DNA tests on the tooth, it was confirmed that it indeed belonged to the deceased.
Meanwhile, it is reported that the accused has been sent to a hospital for mental health checks.
This was after she admitted to killing her lover after being subjected to questioning by the Police.
