Ghanaian afro-beat artiste, Qwamina MP, has revealed that initially, he didn’t have any plans of doing music for life.
In an interview on eTV Ghana’s Late Nite Celebrity Show, he told host Foster Romanus that he started doing rap back in high school, but back then, he was only doing it for fun with no plans of making it a life-long career.
Explaining how music started for him, he shared, ‘’It started inform one with my boys. When it was time for break and there was no teacher around, the boys would make beats with the tables while others would rap so one time, I decided to try and I did about five lines. Everyone was impressed and kept applauding me, saying that I should do rap’’.
Right after school that day, he went with two of his friends to a recording studio close to their school, paid five Ghana cedis each, and that was when he recorded his first song.
