Owner of Fabulous Ladies FC,Madam Habiba Attah who was elected onto the Ghana Football Association Executive Council by the Women’s Elite Clubs revealed that she was expecting to win the seat with more than the eight votes she got .
The Veteran football administrator sneaked past Evelyn Nsiah Asare by just one vote to claim victory. Evelyn Nsiah Asare recorded seven votes while Rosalind Amoh,former Women’s league board vice chairperson got one vote with Quagraine getting zero votes.
Speaking exclusively to Happy Fm, madam Habiba Attah stated.
“The delegates know that I have done a lot for women’s football in the country so they did this to honor me for all the sacrifices. I thank all delegates for having that confidence in me and voting for me.”
“I had so much confidence going into the elections that I will win and I was expecting to win with more than 8 votes. I did a genuine campaign,selling my message to delegates. I didnt bribe anyone with money because I want them to see my worth and competent enough to vote for me.”
“If I see that the other three candidates can help , I will bring them on board to help me work for the betterment of women’s football.”- she added
She will represent women’s football in the incoming Ghana Football Association administration to represent the interest of women’s football for the first time as there was no slot for women on the Executive Council n the past.
Linear Addy, former women’s league board chairperson was the female to serve on the Exco the last time but she won her role from the Constituent Bodies slot .
