Ace rapper, Okyeame Kwame, has said that every dime spent on his recent ‘Made In Ghana’ project, which is set to projects Ghana’s Tourism, Culture and music on the world map, was from his own pocket.
Speaking to DJ Advicer on Happy FM’s ‘Ayekoo After Drive’ show, he said: “I don’t have sponsors. Everything I did on the Made In Ghana project was solely financed by myself and nobody else. ”
He revealed that working on the project was not on the silver platter and that it took him two and a half years to finish it.
Touching on what motivated the commencement of the project, Okyeame Kwame said the project is centered around promoting and selling the brand ‘ Tourism ‘ to the world through music, and to also help Ghanaian’s appreciate their own so that outsiders can appreciate them.
“The Made In Ghana project has not gotten half the money invested in it but even at that, the project has opened doors of opportunity such as Europe tours and so on and forth,” Okyeame Kwame added.
