Ghanaian singer, Yram Nukemeko Ababio Ablordeppey popularly known as Ablord, has appealed to the public to invest and support his music.
Stating some challenges he faces in the music industry since he started he made it known that so far his only challenge is the lack investors and supporters.
In an interview with Foster Romanus on e.TV Ghana’s Late Nite Celebrity Show he said, “It is always difficult when you know you have a good product but have no investors to push you to where you ought to be”.
According to Ablord, it has only been himself and his team trying to find a way to push his music and his brand since he started doing music which is very difficult to do.
“We really need investors because we have a lot of good songs we cannot get to the masses because we do not have all the resources to push it so we need the investors and supporters, I mean genuine fans who will just hear the song and be like this guy is good let me just push him”.
Talking about the kind of support he looks forward to getting he mentioned that he has no specifics it could be monetary or any other form of support anyone thinks they can support him with.
Citing an example he said, “Imagine if a 100 people I knew decided to push or tweet my song on twitter, it will go far but they will not do it. Even when you ask them for a short video listening to your song they ignore. There are some who feel they are doing you a favor by sending you the video but I believe in supporting anything that is good”.
He highlighted that mostly the support comes from outsiders and people you do not know because, “Those who are close know the songs are good but they will never support or push you and it hurts”.
He however disclosed that there is still more room for improvement as most of the signs he is seeing are positive ones.
“What hurts is the support does not come from your circle of friends because, I know a lot of people yet still, they do not support me but I believe gradually I will get the right people to support my music”.
His final message to the public was, “We really need you guys to support us when you hear a song and it is good. Share and recommend it to others. We also need investors anyhow and anywhere you can help us will be appreciated”.
