Ghana’s favourite radio station,Happy FM, has begun the all new morning show dubbed the “Happy Morning Show” hosted by three well-seasoned journalists, namely, Samuel Eshun,Fati Shaibu Ali and Raymond Nyamador.
The show, which began on 6th January,2020,features a mixed bag of motivation, health information, regional news, social media trends, lifestyle, sports highlights, newspaper headline reviews and promotions is divided into four major segments.
The ‘Omane Ne Mu Te Sen’ segment have listeners and regional correspondents phone-in to share their problems, challenges and issues of national concern from the sixteen (16) regions in Ghana.
The ‘Pae Mu Ka’ segment is an on air series where listeners send in whatsApp voice notes talking about political, economic and other social issues affecting them in the country.
The social media trends and sports highlights segments cover a wide range of digital space, from Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter from all around the world, which the sport highlights gives sports fans stats and quick information about the happening in the world of sports.
Samuel Eshun,who features as the main host of the show, is joined by two other avid media personalities, Fati Shaibu Ali and Raymond Nyamador who cover the social media and sports segments of the show respectively. These trio bring on board quality radio programming to the doorstep of Ghanaians.
Samuel Eshun is a seasoned radio personality with nine (9) years experience in the media environment as he has championed the execution of major shows, promotions and event campaigns.
He began his media journey as a broadcast journalist at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST)’s Continental Radio in 2002.
Samuel has featured as the morning show Host for several stations such as Choice FM, Invisible FM in Kumasi, Radio Gold, among others. He hosted the biggest award winning socio political show Alhaji and Alhaji on Radio Gold. As morning show host, he championed the restoration of the Korle Bu hospital CT scan which had been left inactive for months. He also led several advocacy campaigns against recklessness on our roads and the bad nature of roads in certain parts of Accra. He also led the network broadcasting to cover the 2016 elections which provided a credible source of first hand election results updates from across the 10 regions of Ghana.
Fati Shaibu-Ali is a multi-award winning journalist with over fifteen years’ experience in Media and Journalism.
Her work cuts across mainstream journalism, new media trends and communication. She has worked on a number of local and international projects.
During the 2008 general elections her ground breaking story on the neglect of persons with disabilities in the registration process yielded swift response from the electoral commission when it set up a registration center at the offices of the National Federation of the Disabled to make for easy access to a registration center.
Her undercover investigative piece on prostitution in Madina a suburb of Ghana, though risky, opened a whole new can of worms with the debate on why young girls engage in prostitution.
She has been the News Editor of e.TV Ghana since 2012 and led the team to cover the 2012 general elections. eTV Ghana gave one of the best election coverage programmes at that time with good analysis of events. Fati is also an on-air personality and was co-host of e.TV Ghana’s flagship programme State Of The Nation.
Raymond Nyamador is an Economics and Philosophy graduate from the University of Ghana. He also holds a Project management Professional credential from the renowned Project Management Institute(PMI) in the USA.
Raymond has been on Radio and TV as a Sports Broadcast Journalist since 2010 when he made his debut on ‘BBC’s world have your say’ as a pundit.
Raymond has been on several sports shows in Ghana including Touchline, Joy Sports arena, Joy sports Lockerroom and Joy sports EPL club all programmes of the multimedia group. Raymond is a very skilled TV/Radio presenter who brings depth to issues relating to sports. He is also a good public speaker and is considered as one of the finest and most sought after sports pundits in Ghana presently.
He has also worked as a guest commentator on key football games one the world stage, including the 2018 FIFA World cup, European championships, UEFA Champions league and the African cup of Nations.
