Ghanaian Rapper, Enoch Nana Yaw Oduro- Agyei, known by his stage name Trigmatic has shared that the death of former President Jerry John Rawlings has really hit him because he failed to visit the late former President in his last days when he had the chance to.
According to him, he regrets not making the time to meet the former President.
Speaking in an interview with YFM’s Kojo Manuel on the Dryve of Your Lyfe Show, he shared “The passing hit me because I remember when he lost his mum, one of the members from MUSIGA reached out to me that we should go pay the courtesy call at his residence. I was in Takoradi so I couldn’t make it so they made arrangements for a second visit. However, I couldn’t join the second time. For me it could have been the last moment to meet him again. That is what really hit me. I got the invitation to actually be there. I couldn’t make it”, he said.
During his interview, the rapper reminisced the good times he had when the later former President commended him for his performances during events where he [former President Rawlings] and his wife were present.
“He never hides anything. So for him to tell me my performance was good, was something I took very serious”, he added.
The ‘Nobody Knows Tomorrow’ hitmaker stated that former President Rawlings as the man of the people will always be missed.
