A portion of land in the Aweil town close to the civil hospital and the local market which had been turned into a refuse dump and posed a health hazard to the people was cleared by personnel of GHANCOY 1 and the RRP team to the admiration of a large crowd of people who turned up to witness the exercise.
In his remark, OC GHANCOY 1 Lt-Col F Mautsueni indicated that the purpose for the cleanup exercise was to sound the alarm to the people of Aweil on the importance of keeping their surroundings clean to ensure good health and personal hygiene.
