Ghanaian Reggae Artiste, Black Prophet, has stated that he, in no way, benefited from the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), even though he paid all the dues he needed to pay.
Speaking in an interview with Foster Romanus on the Late Nite Celebrity Show, he disclosed: “I used to be a member of MUSIGA. But we had to leave and do music where we are being loved. I had a membership card for MUSIGA before but I can say it didn’t help me. I used to pay for my union card but Musicians Union of Ghana did not benefit me”.

In his submission, he revealed also that he had not received any royalties from the Ghana Music Rights Organization (GHAMRO).

According to him, he was ever ready to develop himself without relying on any organization or music group.
Black Prophet has to his name a classical reggae album dubbed ‘Stories of Life’.
