Over the weekend, the S-Inkoom Football Management Agency (SIFMA) organized a tournament as part of its groundbreaking initiative to discover and nurture young football talents across Ghana. Samuel Inkoom, the former Ghanaian defender and current CEO of S-Inkoom Football Management Agency (SIFMA), spoke exclusively to Happyghana.com, shedding light on the event’s success and the agency’s broader mission.
Inkoom expressed his enthusiasm for the talent discovery tournament, stating, “We are planning of going to all the regions and select the best of the best so we can also push them so they can also play football at the highest level.” The tournament witnessed overwhelming participation, featuring six carefully selected teams that Inkoom personally observed. Out of these teams, 10 standout players were chosen from Kumasi, with an additional 10 set to be selected during a similar tournament in Accra.
“The final 10 from each of these regions will also face off, and then we’ll select the best out. The second phase of the competition will be held in Accra at Adjringanor Astron turf at 1:00 pm on Sunday, February 4th,” Inkoom added, outlining the next steps in the talent identification process.
Notably, the SIFMA initiative was officially launched by Samuel Inkoom to reshape the future for young Ghanaian football players. The agency’s primary mission includes talent discovery, player management, contract negotiations, and the comprehensive development of young prospects. SIFMA is dedicated to equipping young players with the knowledge and support they need to navigate the complex world of professional football.
Inkoom’s vision extends beyond individual success, as he aspires to see his players represent Ghana and achieve victories in prestigious campaigns. The tournament serves as a crucial step in realizing this vision, providing a platform for emerging talents to showcase their skills and potentially secure opportunities at higher levels of competition.
