CEO, Women In Entrepreneurship Awards, Sylvia Tweneboah-Koduah has shared how individuals can start their own businesses without money.
She agreed with some motivational speakers who speak on how they started their businesses with little or no money at all but she stated that there is a strategy that comes with it.
In an interview with Mercy Bee the Ekumfi Princess on e.TV Ghana’s Girl Vibes she said, “Although some of them sound funny they are actually true. You do not necessarily need capital to start a business. Personally, I have started about 3 to 4 businesses that I never needed capital to start”.
Citing an example of how this can be done she said, “If for example you want to go into fashion and start selling clothes, you can create social media pages and with the help of social media you can go to someone who already sells some, take pictures of what you plan to sell and start posting them on your pages. Immediately someone places an order for something, you can just put some money on the original price of the dress, go get it and official you are in business”.
She noted that, this is one way to start a business without capital and if anyone is able to do this and sell about 20 dresses, “you will be able to to gather enough capital to start your own business then you take it from there”.
She however advised that, whatever it is anyone decides to sell, they should do well to get a reliable supplier to avoid disappointment.
