Miss Jenny Laryea the CEO of Twinnie Krafts and co founder of the Twinnie Conglomerate, has described failure as one of the normal life phases that one must go through.
According to her, no one can be successful without thinking of the possibility of failure because you have to actually think about it to deduce a plan B in case it happens, even though no one wishes for it.
She said this to host Eunice Tornyi during an interview on eTV Ghana’s African Women’s Voices show, while talking about how she and her sister, who also happens to be her business partner, deal with failures in their business.
“Life comes in phases and for us, we’ve really experienced so many things in life and we feel failure is part of life. You can never be successful without thinking of failure. Whatever we’ve been through has helped us strengthen ourselves for any more challenges that may come”, she said.
Jennifer confessed that there have been times when they took decisions that did not help them or the business, however, they learnt from those mistakes instead of blaming each other for suggesting the idea or being the one to implement it.
“In the end, it was the two of us who decided that this is what we wanted to do and we looked at the pros and cons before going ahead to do that so when there’s a problem or a failure, we just see it as a setback and we go back to the drawing board and try to fix what we didn’t do right”, she concluded.
