‘Juju’ hit maker, Efe Keyz has revealed that she abandoned her first love, writing, in pursuance of music because the music career is a jealous activity that requires all of one’s time.
In an interview with Foster Romanus on the Late Nite Celebrity Show, she said: “My passion for music came as a result of writing. I was a writer by age 13.I was writing scripts and stories, poems and music. I only got to know I had a voice when I sang my own songs and people commended me.Otherwise I didn’t plan on becoming a musician, I wanted to be a writer. I used to write scripts for movies. Music is very jealous. It doesn’t want you to give attention to anything. It takes time so I am giving it all the time now.”
She, however, suggested that she had plans of visiting her writing after she has accomplished great things in her music career.
“I think I will pursue writing some time in my life. When I get to the place that I believe that I have been able to accomplish some of the great things I want to accomplish, then I will welcome writing”, she added.
Efe Keyz is known for her songs such as ‘Juju’, ‘Casanova’, ‘Party Time’, among others.
