Medical Doctor and Clinical Health Psychologist, Dr. Isaac Newman Arthur, has cautioned Ghanaians to take note of the date, time and where they give out certain information to others.
According to him, this is very important because if any information is not given out on a good day, it can haunt whoever the information was given to eternally.
Speaking in an interview with Nana Yaw Odame on e.tv Ghana’s ‘Men’s Lounge Show’, Dr. Arthur said, “This is why I tell people not to give sensitive information to anybody on certain event dates like birthdays, Christmas, Easter and any other memorable event. This is because they create an unpleasant situation for the person.”
He noted that although one might want to be honest about the situation, it can be said in another way some other time which will lessen the effect it will have on the victim.
“The fact that you want to be honest doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be wise about how you go about giving out information to people,” he added.
He emphasized that sometimes to be able to give out such information depending on the gravity of the situation, “you might even have to see a counselor as to how to go out it.
Sometimes you just have to know how to give out the information. There are some people who do that. When something happens, they wait until it’s right or even evaluate the whole situation before they speak about it and that is how it should be done,” he asserted.
