Entrepreneur/ Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Ed’s Globe, Mrs. Edna Tutor, has shared her opinion as a married woman, on whether age matters in selecting a life partner.
Speaking in an interview with Mercy Bee the Ekumfi Princess on Girl Vibes which is aired on e.tv Ghana, she said age does not really count because what keeps a relationship going is the motive that both parties go into the relationship with.
According to her, the reason people face a lot of challenges in their relationships is that they do not go in with the right motive. “Everyone gets into a relationship with a personal motive and that is what determines if that relationship will end in marriage or hit the rocks”, she said.
Talking about what she believes is the best motive to enter a relationship with, Edna mentioned that she looks at the vision of the man. “I always say that as a woman, you should have direction in life so if you meet a man that has a dream and vision, then you the woman with the direction can assist him”.
She added, “You need to identify your motive in the man’s life. Ask yourself what he has that you do not have and how you can add up to his life. Whatever he is bringing to the table, you need to be able to add up so if you also go for a man without a vision, then he will not bring anything to the table for you to add up”.
Using her husband as an example, Mrs. Tutor said, “My husband had a lot of dreams that he wanted to achieve and I saw myself in them. At a point in time in a relationship, love and affection starts to fade so if I come into a relationship with love, then at that point when the love is not there, I will be left with no motivation”.
According to her, there should be something connecting couples aside love and that is the dream that they both share and are willing to build together.
