Jamaican actor, Kevoy Burton, has shared his opinion on financial responsibility in the home especially in cases where the woman is earning more than the man.
Talking to Nana Yaw Odame on Men’s Lounge on eTV Ghana, he shared that when a woman is earning more than the man in the home, the man has to learn to put aside his ego.
According to him, he did not have that situation in his home while growing up but he did have a girlfriend who was earning more than he was, hence he shared lessons from his experience. He said, ‘’The thing about females is that they are very emotional and they like to feel like they can lean on someone financially and in every way so if they can’t feel that , then they begin to throw these things in your face.
‘’If you can’t provide certain things then they’ll hit you with stuff like ‘you’re poor’, ‘you’re broke’ and all that. This is very hard for men to deal with especially if they can’t put their ego aside and think about things rationally’’, he added.
Kevoy Burton visited Ghana for the premiere of the movie ‘Joseph’ in which he played the lead role. The movie will be out in cinemas from the 24th of January, 2020.
