A cold war between Western-North Regional Minister, Kingsley Aboagye Gyedu and his deputy Alex Tetteh has escalated beyond the borders of their domain.
Having assumed office barely four months ago, both gentlemen have been caught up in a power struggle that is beginning to sour the mouths of local authorities in the area.
Irritated by the supposed undermining of his power, the Regional Minister reached out to the Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Hajia Alima Mahama, formally reporting his discontent, accusing his deputy of convening a regional security council meeting without informing him and issuing regional security orders that rubbished his own orders.
Mr Gyedu is of the persuasion that the actions of his deputy have ill and malicious intents.
