Chief Executive Officer at ISPACE and Chairman for Ghana Hubs Network, Josiah Kwesi Eyison, has given some reasons why men refuse to share when something bothers them.
He asserted that this mistake affects their relationship always.
Speaking to Nana Yaw Odame on e.tv Ghana’s ‘Men’s Lounge show’, he said, “We don’t communicate because society has strengthened men to just muscle up, not to talk or show emotions, but rather always do what you have to do irrespective of the situation.”
Per his research, there are situations where men communicate, but then whatever they do or say is used against them.
“You realize that they open up and the ladies complain that he talks too much and is too emotional etc. This pushes them to rather shut up and act dumb. As we say, you cannot eat your cake and have it so we need to tell our men to open up more and also communicate more,” he mentioned.
He advised women to also give men the chance when they decide to talk and open up to them.
“Listen to him and figure out what he’s talking about be it about his dreams or what he wants to achieve. Even if you feel they can’t achieve them don’t belittle them because if you do that you bruise their ego,” he cautioned.
