Ghanaian highlife sensation, Adane Best has come out to accuse Kuami Eugene of stealing lines from his songs with due diligence.
A few months back, Lynx Entertainment signee was accused of stealing his hit single “Confusion” from a Malian musician called Sidiki Diabate and some lines of Adina’s “Killing me softly” a track originally done by Nigerian star Duncan Mighty which he wrote for her has been accused once again by Veteran musician Adane Best.
In an interview on Accra FM, Adane Best made the accusation that the sound Kuami Eugene makes on his songs ‘Eeeeeee eeeeeee‘ was ‘stolen’ from his hit song ‘Mama’ which he uses a lot of times in the introduction of his songs.
Adane Best also alleged that in Kuami Eugene’s ‘Wish Me Well’, the lines “Nana Nyame Kabi mam3 kabi mam3 kabi mam3 kabi mam3 kabi ma wo mba Nana Nyame b3 Kabi ma wo mba ah” were also taken from the last line of his ‘Mama’ song.
Adane Best in his era gave Ghanaians the most original and unique contemporary highlife music we will never forget.
Adane Best is a veteran Ghanaian musician known for hit songs like “Ayitey”, Se Wu Bre, “Wa nu Pe Asem”, Rabbi, Maafio, Soja Go Soja Come, Ayekoo, and Mamamia.
For his achievements, Adane Best won the Best Dance Music ECRAG Awards in 1994. He also received the Best Highlife Song of the Year Award in 2003 and was recently honoured by the Kwahuman Traditional Council in conjunction with the Kwahu Youngsters Club.
