D-G of Atomic Energy Commission, 30 others arrested
The Director-General of the Ghana Atomic Energy Commission, Professor Emmanuel Akaho and some thirty others have been arrested and sent to Police Headquarters for ordering the demolishing of some structures on a disputed piece of land at the Dome-Kwabenya this morning.
The Ghana Atomic Energy Commission and a private company Anainia International Limited are both laying claim to a 164 acre piece of land at Dome-Kwabenya.
Kwabenya District Police commander DSP Ameyaw Afriyie said Professor Emmanuel Akaho will be questioned at the police headquarters.
He told Joy News’ Nana Agyei Essuman Prof. Akaho admitted he authorized the destruction of the property.
He said the 31 arrested persons, who are from the Atomic Energy Commission, have been sent to the police headquarters for interrogation.
