President meets journalists today

President John Evans Atta Mills today, will hold the third media encounter with senior journalists and editors at the Osu Castle.
The media encounter is in line with the President's pledge to operate a free, transparent and honest government.
Issues likely to feature during the encounter include the preparation and assurance by the government to ensure free, fair, transparent election in December this year, and the present state of the STX Housing project, particularly the legal tango between the STX?partners, which has stalled the project.
Other issues such as the payment of judgement debt by the current administration, particularly the one paid to a Ghanaian businessman, Mr Alfred Agbesi Woyome and the $3 billion Chinese loan which.
e.tv Ghana news will also use the opportunity to find out from President Mills the state of the Public Records and Archives Department (PRAD) and the measures being taken to bring the department back in shape.
The media will also be given the opportunity to quiz the president on issues such as the one-time payment of premium under the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) and other developments in the health sector, the gains chalked up on schools under trees, free school uniform, free exercise books and other issues related to education.
