Park your cars at home and join public transport to ease traffic - MTTU boss counsels
Car owners have been advised to park their cars at home and join commercial and public transport to ease the screaming traffic situation in the city.
This, the Motor Traffic and Transport Unit director, ACP Awuni Angwubutoge, believes is one of several measures to mitigate the effects of the depressing traffic situation in the city.
Accra has been inflicted with a serious traffic situation with both drivers and passengers reeling in anger and frustration everyday.
In an interview on Joy fm last night, ACP Awuni Angwubutoge said the police is doing all it can to mitigate the full effects of the traffic situation.
According to him, he has deployed at least two police men at all traffic intersections to direct traffic and ease the situation a bit to road users.
Whilst admitting that the Christmas season brings with it a terrible traffic situation, he said, everybody wants to be seen driving his own car and advised Ghanaians to patronize public and commercial transport.
